bonus HN thread news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42014013 :

> For online service… a $80 purchase costs at least $2.00. For a online purchase for computer hardware I paid over $45 for a $2k purchase. BTC fails hard in the real world as far as I’m concerned. The little I have left from mining while the sun was up, I’ll use for just silly purchases online. > What you’re missing is that it costs the same $2.00 to transfer $1T-worth of bitcoin. Try that with anything else that offers final settlement.

I’m a Salvadoran and I don’t trust this guy one bit. I’m glad he dealt with the gang issue, but it was dealt with so fast and broadly that guaranteed there’s a good percentage of prisoners in those gulags they’ve built that are innocent, and that’s a travesty. Additionally, once the criminals are dealt with, those prisons are gonna start to house all the other undesirables of the administration. This is a guy who refuses to criticize Putin and refuses to even back Ukraine with his words.

Don’t believe his backwards cap, athletic jacket, every man look either. He’s an oligarch with deep pockets
